The New Jersey Skylands Region offers diverse geography filled with natural mountain beauty, freshwater lakes and rivers, and picturesque rolling hills dotted with farms, villages and historic towns all located just 30 to 90 minutes west of New York City.  With a multitude of plentiful and accessible attractions, you can enjoy exciting activities every season of the year in New Jersey's Great Northwest.

The five-county region of Morris, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, and Somerset contains two National Parks - the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area and Morristown National Historic Park and numerous state parks with endless trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.  There are scenic waterways to explore and ample opportunities to observe and enjoy local wildlife.

The Skylands Region offers phenomenal opportunities for shopping ranging from quaint village boutiques and antique stores, to seasonal flea markets and arts and crafts festivals, and even large regional malls and outlet centers.  And there are casual and gourmet restaurants, wineries, and numerous museums and theaters here too.
